Ukishima (
lit. Floating Island) is a world born from regret, or born from surrender, or born from needing, or born from, born from, born from nothing at all. A world born from dreams, from sights unseen, from all-knowing deception.
[And now, I hand the tale over to whoever whittles the story down, to its core, a mystery torn from the roots.]
Undoing the story from its roots, Ukishima is a world where anything can happen in theory, peaceful - despite this. Ukishima is a world where all collide, come together, and join hands in harmony, let there be kindness upon this joyous world where nothing shall go wrong.
In theory, peaceful.
In theory, it's this way.
Why question what is accepted, what is called the normalcy? There is no reason.
Ukishima is a world where everything is mundane and ordinary, to those born atop of this floating island. Ukishima is a world where all is well, should be well, may be unwell, where things are turning underneath our very gaze, and where things are not quite as they should've seemed at one point. Happy and unhappy endings,
none of it means anything.
Only your life - that is something with meaning. Only your life - that is something that matters. Only your life - that is what I yearn to see through the end. Only your life - keys to locked doors, meaningfully less.
Only your life is the story that will be looked at through the looking glass.
Now, let the story commence.
What is the story to be seen?
A story about a God, dying atop the highest mountain.
A story about the Angelic tending to her, with that sad smile on their face.
A story about the various lives along this floating island,
a story about the bodies left to rot where nobody sees,
a story about regret piling until the end,
a story about reaching out for your hand,
a story about not grasping "humanity",
a story about going out of your way,
a story about connection,
a story about relationships,
a story about yourself,
a story about loss
---
a story about the end.
